ROC Relocations recently relocated the whole of the industrial diamond section in Ascot to their new premises. This job entailed the movement of laboratories and equipment, heavy mechanical equipment and complete air conditioning units. This task required the movement of several hundred staff and the lifting of heavy equipment through the roof.
ACCENTURE
ROC Relocations have an ongoing contract for daily porterage. We recently relocated 240 staff between two Accenture London locations. The relocation took place over one weekend and was completed causing no down time to any of Accenture staff. As we are their main off site storage supplier, we were also given the task of clearing and inventorying all the redundant furniture which was left into store. This took place over 4 evenings as we filled over 80 containers of furniture. We were unable to get parking permits as the building was opposite the Old Bailey. At the same time we were carrying out 60 staff relocation between their two Newcastle offices.
NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM
An undertaking, involving the movement of complete displays, which included Guy the Gorilla, the Marine Section of whales, full-sized stuffed exhibits and the Mineral Section, large and extremely heavy samples of geological finds. From these last two contracts ROC is now the approved supplier for the Natural History Museum. Richard Sabian – Curator of Mammals and Osteology at The Natural History Museum comments: “We were impressed by the care and attention with which the project has been handled by ROC Relocations. Its staff took a personal interest in everything they did, which resulted in the whole collection being moved without a single incidence of damage”
CENTER PARCS
Relocation of 350 head office staff from a shared location in Eakring, Nottinghamshire to their prestigious new head office at Ollerton. The relocation took place over one weekend and entailed the moving of 80 staff call centre, 1000 linear metres of bulk and sequential filing, furniture, IT equipment and servers. ROC were contracted to carry out all packing and unpacking of all bulk and sequential crates, decommissioning and re-commissioning of all IT equipment and the packing and transportation of all servers. The call centre in its entirety had to be packed, relocated, unpacked (including all furniture), IT equipment and servers in an eight hour slot, so as not to cause any down time to their business. Everything was relocated, built, unpacked, re-commissioned by am on Monday morning so that there was no inconvenience to their staff or business.
METRONET RAIL
Reorganisation of two Head Office Buildings at Kings Cross and Holborn, which involved 360 staff being relocated over one weekend, including IT equipment, filing crates, personnel crates and furniture. The area was left clean and tidy and ready for users to start up on Monday morning at am at both sites.
TRANSPORT FOR LONDON
Relocation of 280 staff from three Head Office Buildings into TFL's prestigious new building in Victoria including all IT equipment, personal crates and over 400 crates of filing all unpacked and packed by ROC staff. The area was left clean & tidy and ready for Monday morning start up.
FRESHFIELD BRUCKHAUS DERINGER
Relocation of 400 staff over one weekend. We were responsible for the sequential packing of all bulk and lateral filing. We packed over 5500 crates which were stored in the basement and on an empty floor whilst the staff and offices were relocated. On the Sunday our unpacking team unpacked over 3000 of the crates, this allowed staff to commence work as normal at am. ROC Relocations have supplied Freshfields with their daily porterage and off site storage solutions for over 8 years. BRIT INSURANCE ROC Relocations have recently just completed a reshuffle of all staff at Brit Insurances head office in London. The project took place over 6 months and involved the dismantling and removal to store of all their existing furniture. The relocation involved over 1200 Brit Insurance staff and was a total success. ROC has gone on to build a strong working relationship with Brit Insurance and now also service all their remote offices nationwide.
LONDON BOROUGH OF HAVERING
Relocation of 800 staff from nine local offices to one newly acquired central office. The relocation involved all employees’ personal effects, desk contents, departmental bulk filing and all I.T. equipment. ROC was contracted to pack, relocate and unpack all departmental filing, which amounted to over 5000 crates. We also relocated more than 1100 crates of I.T. equipment. Throughout the relocation ROC had a dedicated move manager to liaise with London Borough of Havering staff, their facilities team and all the relocation teams. Once the relocation was complete ROC had to clear seven of the buildings of all their contents, furniture, files and I.T. equipment. Some furniture went to store, some was exchanged for old furniture at other buildings and sites. The majority was recycled at our depot through our recycling division, ROC Recycling. All paperwork and files were confidentially disposed and shredded through our recycling facilities. All goods were weighed and certificates for destruction and recycling were issued. ROC continues to build strong working relationship with London Borough of Havering today.
BUCKINGHAM PALACE
For the last three years ROC have been working for the House Master at Buckingham Palace. ROC are contracted to store, deliver, set up and collect all the furniture, crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment for the Queens Garden Parties. In June ROC have a forty eight hour slot to deliver the product that is required. All of our staff involved has to go through a stringent vetting for security to allow us to work within the Palaces grounds. The planning of all collections and deliveries are organised with military precision so that all involved can complete their duties and tasks without hindrance from other contractors.
