the history of roc relocations - solid foundations 
ROC was formed in 1972 under the name of Romford Supplies, supplying office furniture. The company entered the removal industry in 1976 in response to requests for removal services. A new company was formed, known as Romford Office Contracts Limited. In 1984, the company became a member of the British Association of Removers. In order to capitalise on increased activity in the domestic removal market, the company expanded its operations and, for effective marketing, changed its name to ROC Removals Limited, simultaneously operating Romford Office and Commercial Removals Limited. 
 
Increased business volumes necessitated a move to larger permanent premises and a new operating centre was established at Barking, Essex, in 1993 followed by the occupation of a further warehousing and a new Administration Centre, also at Barking. 
roc expansion and evolution 
In 1996, the company made a corporate decision to stop doing domestic removals and to concentrate fully on the commercial relocation market. This lead to the company joining the Commercial Movers Group (CMG), part of the British Association of Removers (BAR). 
 
During December 2000, the company managed to acquire Haggers Removals and Storage in Rainham, Essex, which is where ROC is based today. With this acquisition came all of their clients, staff, vehicles and 6500 storage containers. In 2001, ROC Removals Limited won the coveted Commercial Mover of the Year award sponsored by Hays Rentacrate. 
 
In 2001, the company also introduced a new management team and Bill Price, the current Chairman, was appointed. The company survived the general industry wide decline in business by bringing in new experienced managers to drive the company forward! 
a modern brand embracing technology 
In 2002, the company decided to modernise the business and changed its name to ROC Relocations Limited. In 2006 the company went through a major realigning and structural reorganisation. At the same time a new company logo and new livery for company vehicles were introduced. 2007 saw the launch of ROC Recycling, a new division of ROC Relocations offering recycling alternatives to all of its clients. In 2009 ROC Archive Management was born. This service provides clients with a secure and digitally managed document storage solution. 
 
ROC Relocations is a modern, professional company with experienced and loyal staff established with one aim in mind; to offer cost effective and best in class Relocation, Recyling, Storage and Archive Management solutions that save time, money and effort.
